The Pricey Looking Priceless!

The newly wed Mrs Reid aka Katie price aka Jordan aka the Pricey goes by many names and normally some obscenities alongside those ones! I was neither team Kate or team Peter, I don't take a preference between the two but sometimes Kate just makes the wrong decisions and because of it her reputation has took a dip! But for once she has made a perfect decision! To be shot for the lifestyle magazine 'Wonderland.'

When you hear Katie Price will be on a magazine cover or has done a new shot you immediately think 'oh a swimsuit or lingerie in tasteless poses and plastered in make up' but not this time! Katie is stripped back to basics and looking very sexy! Oiled up wearing a vest, jeans and some very rugged converse the model, yes I said model looks better than ever! This is the kind of look every guy dreams for, something a little dirty and rough round the edges.

The Pricey looks a million dollars, even MasterCard couldn't afford this!

Fashioning the Future?

As we all know we are back in one of our favourite times of the season, where New York, London, Milan and Paris become the hosts to fashion week where the worlds best designers showcase their latest collection for the coming season! Then usually the high street studies the images and shows and immediately picks out it's hottest trends and creates copycat versions at a fraction of the price! But is all this about to change?

Tom Ford ( yes i know another blog about him) is a fashion genius, and has accomplished a lot on his time, but has he just took a step into the future, pushing the industry more more! As usual he plans a show, but this time he invites no one!

Imagine being a fashion editor, sitting at your desk and then the phone rings, finally here's your invitation, be at the store by 6.30 to see the show! If you were 1 of the lucky 100 you wouldn't have missed this for the world, especially as Beyonce was one of the confirmed models! As you can tell this show was top secret and images have not and WILL not be released until the collection goes on sale next year. Phones were to be left outside by all guests and no press was invited, just one in house photographer shot the show. However head shots of all the models have been released, and not the conventional models we are used to!

Tom Ford's collection can not be recreated this year, and isn't that the way fashion should be? This is one event many seriously missed out on, and I am sure the industry greatly anticipates the pictures of Beyonce on the runway!

Ga Ga's Got The Meat Sweats!

We all know fashion is sometimes taken to the extreme, and I have seen people dressed in meat before, Americas next top model have done it and who remembers GMTV's streaky bacon? But has the Lady Gaga taken it just that ration to far?

I read she had posed on the cover of japans Vogue this month wearing a cow but it wasn't until i saw the pictures that i was really shocked! She had some steaks on string covering her assets, a meat bikini perhaps. Take it with a pinch of salt and you can excuse the cover of vogue, who would expect any less from someone as fashion forward as her?

However that's not where she stopped, she paraded a Similar outfit at the VMA's and continued on stage to collect her award! No doubt she was slowly cooking under the intensity of those lights! This time she amazed in a elaborate hat, dress and even shoes all made from cuts of meat!

For once she was showing just a little to much flesh for me!

Zara meets Ecommerce

As many of you will know the Spanish super power of Zara have finally unveiled their transactional website! The 21st century has been embraced by retailer, although far to late. But has all been rectified in their new outlet?

The new website is offering up all elements Zara has to offer, Womenswear, Menswear, TRF, Children's and baby wear. All under one easy and sophisticated roof. A Zara shoppers dream? Possibly.

The website is incredibly easy to navigate, and most definitely the stylish high street retailer website i've seen, and i have seen many! The websites appearance mirrors exactly what we would see in store, the monochrome colour palette, with the stylised black and white photos and no fuss. Its clean and concise.

Delve further into the website and we can shop the clothes by category, and further filter the search by characteristics, colour, size and price ... however nothing new or exciting. Find some garments you are interested in and we can see several images, front, back and even design details and features. Accompanied by drop down menus of composition and care, delivery and returns. All the information is hidden, like i said no fuss, if you want to read it you can, otherwise its out of sight and not polluting our webpage. All the garments are photographed on a model which is very refreshing! Although some retailers already do this they are often inconsistent, on models and off. i personally prefer on models, its important to see how the clothes shape around the body.

So the shopping is easy, but what's it like when it comes to receiving the items? Well, Zara are offering up three methods of delivery. A free delivery to stores, yes a FREE delivery service! A great idea for the city folk who know they are not going to be in during the day for a home delivery, They also offer £3.95 standard delivery, which is the average price for this form of delivery. However for those wanting their shopping quick, they will have to put their hand in their pocket as it will cost them £9.95!! Too much for some i feel.

Although i love this website i must say several times i have clicked on pages and i have been shown an error message, no doubt these are early problems i'm sure Zara will correct in time! Perhaps now H&M will speed up their transactional website which is due to be unveiled by the end of this year! lets hope before the Lanvin collaboration.

The Tantalising World of Tatts!!

Yes, you are reading right! I have posted a new blog.... The first in months, and back by popular demand ... To my surprise! Thanks to those requesting a new blog, and there was more than one of you!

So, on my return what subject does one talk about? And that is the question I have been asking since the last blog, being uninspired to write has become a bit of a problem!

I could talk about the Naomi Campbell blood diamonds fiasco, the vogue September cover or even Angelina Jolie turning designer!

But, instead, I am going to talk about tattoos! Fashionable or fashion faux pas
After having a number of tattoos done and another one done today I wanted to look at the subject and see what people really think! Friends always say to men 'oh don't get another one,' but do I listen? No you go ahead and get it anyway! You think it will cool, but what happens once it's done and you don't like it? Well nothing is the honest answer.... That is unless you can afford laser removal!

My honest opinion is that I love all four of my tattoos, but I would change at least one thing on my earliest three tattoos. Whether it is the language I used, it's placement or where I got it done, this normally comes with time and as the latest addition is still killing me (I write this still wrapped in cling film) I imagine I will find something to want to change! Regardless of this I know my tattoos are right for me when people evergreen compliment them, ask what they mean and say they like it, this is no exaggeration when I say this happens every week! Especially at the burton till point!

So I say tattoos make us unique, some people like them, some don't, some have small ones and some are covered in them! But don't be fooled there are many ways to make us unique!

Tattoos get a thumbs up from me!

Great to be back guys!!

All Saints - Regent Street

On Friday I went had a spot of retail therapy during my lunch break, so as a fan of allsaints i went to check out the new Regent street store!
I remember stumbling across the recent store in notting hill at the start of the year and being amazed! It was a fine example of an allsaints outlet that encompassed all aspects o the brand and their identity. However the new Regent Store is in a whole other league. It spans 3 floors and offers a huge range of product! As usual the singer sewing machines are in the windows, with the rustic interior we are all used to.

I had a Allsaints gift card in my possesion, thanks to my flat mate, and felt the need to treat myself..... I ended up treating myself a little too much! I got my hands on two tops and a anchor necklace! The added bonus was the 25% off they have been offering all over the bank holiday weekend, what generous people! After such a rare opportunity I hope you all went out and treated yourselves!!
If you haven't seen the new store definetely stop off on your next trip to regent street!
