Bonjour lecteurs, un séjour à Paris

Again another hectic week, but i will become a more regular blogger soon!!!

This week one has been travelling across the Channel to Paris, just in time for PFW, despite not seeing anything of course, barr some very stunning luxury stores.

It was my first time to the city, and luckily had some friends who had been there several times before. We saw all the usual sights, eiffel tower, arc de triomphe, Notre Dame, place de la concorde, obelisque de luxor, basilique de Sacre Coeur and the Louvre. All accomplished with lots and lots of walking!!! God knows how many steps we took, but it was all worth it, seeing all the little cobbled side streets made it feel even more special. The Louvre is something i have always wanted to see, so on the first night we walked there. It was great seeing the building all light up, and the amazing series of glass pyramids placed within it! I was determined to find the rose line but had no success, i was assured it did exist though! perhaps next time i will find it! :) I didn't venture into the Louvre as i feel it is summing that needs more than a couple of hours to see, so it will be one of my first stops on my next visit. Eiffel tower was a little disappointing as magnificent a piece of architecture it is i just wasn't blown away like i felt i should of been.

The mini break was great, and this was largely due to the friends i was with! It was full of laughs, great debate, serious topics as well as just plain silly moments and stupid comments!! All we drank was coffee, wine and beer, had several lunches, nice dinners and a very french breakfast. Trips like this aren't worth going on unless you are with the right people, and now it feels odd to be sat at home with none of them around! I had a great time sharing a room with two of my best friends! Hilarious is the only word that can sum it up!

All in all the trip was worth it, despite the expense and now very low bank balance! and some thefts among my friends!! (stupid stealing parisians!) It has also confirmed my choice to start learning french! so bring on april, and another trip to france in the future!
Thank you to everyone who made it special!

X
